I had that thought not too long ago. We use the word “hero” far too much. Especially when all police officers are referred to as heroes, even though we live in a police state. Since birth we’re told they are above reproach. I also take exception to the people in the twin towers being called “heroes” when they clearly didn’t do anything heroic; they are clearly victims. hmmm tenuous at best…I understand the power of images and the gullibility of people…but ..what feelings am I to project onto a picture of a uranium baby in Afghanistan??? one does not just choose every emotion..but they can learn to understand it and WHY they react to that image…once awakened one can be pretty much infallible….we do color our world with perception…
