What we think is our past is really just a kind of mental equilibrium process to help us feel that life is predictable, to keep chaos at bay. Most people want to live as far away from chaos as possible, but the creative person knows how to straddle the boundary between order and chaos, so his past, his-story, is flowing and dynamic.
